This nice little park has a covered cooking area, picnic tables, restrooms, volleyball court and net, horseshoes pit, skateboarding/biking area, and lots of open space with green grass. It features a little stream that runs down through the middle of it which the students of Philomath High School have used as a centerpiece for a wetlands study area. The gazebo located near the parking area contains some good basic wetlands information. Beware of muggles, especially on nice sunny days!
The cache is a clear plastic container. It is also the Starting Line for a race between the Sand Tortoise and the Sand Hare. We want to see who wins the race THIS time. There are also a variety of other interesting treasures in the cache.
