Geocache Description:

A multi-stage cache in Spring Creek Nature Preserve in Garland. It has 2 stages and a final, which was replaced and moved to a new location on 01/29/04, which is a cocoa container. That's three in all.

Parking is on Mapleridge Drive at N32 57.985 W096 39.715.

This park has dirt trails, so if it has rained, they will be very muddy. I placed this one on Friday, while it was raining and it was muddy. I went back and verified on Monday, and it was still muddy on the trails.

All of the stages give the coordinates to the next stage. Stage 1 gives the coordinates for Stage 2. Stage 2 gives the coordinates for the final cache.

BTW, This could be a lunchtime cache.

Here's the warnings for this cache:

THORNS-- Yes, there may be some thorns, but almost all caches in this area have THORNS except for urban caches and the kind that you don't leave the trail. On all of my caches you leave the trail and I don't do urbans.

POISON IVY -- There isn't a lot of poison ivy. Most of the cache is actually along trails.

CREEK-- There is a creek on property. There are also tributaries on property. I didn't cross a creek here, but if you don't follow parking instructions you may need to cross the creek.

MUD-- This park is known for its mud when it rains. So if it rains, I'd stay away for a few days, but if you like mudding, then come immediately after the rain or even better yet, while it is raining. This is a FUN MUDDIN' PARK!!!

UPDATE 04/08/04 This cache has been cut back to 2 stages and a final. The terrain has been lowered. I probably should lower the difficulty as well, but not yet. Stage 2 is located at the top of the creek bank. So if your GPS is trying to push you off the cliff, don't listen to it. Check out the CATFISH in the creek just beyond stage 2.

Please rehide stage 2 well. It is almost on the trail.
