Geocache Description:

This is an adopted cache. Originally listed as a traditional..it was in reality a simple multi. With the removal of the monuments described in the original despcription, this has now become a "traditional" traditional. The coords should take you right to the cache.

THIS IS THE ORIGINAL DESCRIPTION used until November 2013. Ignore all of the calculations and just go find the container which is now at the listed coordinates.

This is tenth in a series of easy (terrain 1) lunch hour caches--You will not have to contend with many of the hazards encountered in Houston area caching...muddy trails, water, snakes, gators, briars, brambles, poison ivy, etc. Notice, I did not promise the absence of mosquitoes or hot weather. That can only be accomplished by caching indoors with air conditioning. That is not possible to provide.

Please note: Do not disassemble any public property while locating these caches!! It is not necessary in order to find them.

See LH1 for information on the general layout of these lunch hour caches.

This cache is in a small park over looking the Brazos River. I would not recommend hunting this cache after dark. No restrooms and playgrounds are available in this park. There is one picnic table.

This is a three waypoint multi cache with a small bottle covered in camo tape at the final waypoint. The container has a log sheet and pencil and is large enough for some small trading items.

To obtain the coordinates for Waypoint 2 you need to carry out the following calculations. North coordinate: At Waypoint 1 look for the first date on the lower plaque (check sum=19). Subtract the 2nd number of this date from the NORTH coordinates (decimal minutes) of Waypoint 1. West coordinate: Again using the first date, subtract the 1st number of this date from the 4th number. Subtract this result from the WEST coordinates (decimal minutes) of Waypoint 1.

When you get to Waypoint 2 you will find two monuments. As you face them look for the first date on the monument on the right (check sum of the numbers=12). Multiply the sum of the 1st and 2nd number by 21. This is the distance in feet to Waypoint 3 (location of cache container). Look for the first date on the monument on the left (check sum=22). Add the sum of the numbers to 303. This is the bearing (True North) to Waypoint 3. If your GPSr will not project in feet, use a compass to sight the direction to Waypoint 3 then step off the distance to Waypoint 3 or you can find the offset position by doing a goto on the 2nd waypoint and then wandering around at the given distance until the bearing to the second waypoint is equal to the projection bearing less 180 degrees.

Please note that the math to determine WP2 and WP3 has been changed since reviving this cache. The container has also been changed from a micro to a small bottle covered in camo.
