At the cache location you are across the street from George Vanderbilt's Biltmore Estate.
When George Vanderbilt died in 1914, his wife Edith began selling parts of the property to make it more manageable. One thing she did was to sell portions from the South side to create an area south of Biltmore known as the township of Biltmore Forest.
The building at the head of this intersection is known as Cedar Cliff. Originally there were four main entrances into Biltmore Estate (the Entrance, or Lodge, Gate still being used by visitors today). The site for this gate originally was more than a mile farther south and had to be moved to control access to the Vanderbilt property.
The cache is very accessible, but cachers should be aware that the gate is lived in and the Estate police can see across to the cache location. Stealth is a must!
On weekends during busy days for Biltmore Estate there will be a car parked on this side (w/employee facing road) and regular traffic of employees & season Passholders will be evident. Some careful planning will be needed to leave this cache location intact for others. Parking farther around the curve and timing may be necessary.
Coordinates could not get me more than 20' of cache despite 6 sats & many waypoints because of tree cover. The hint therefore is in two parts; the first is general & the second specific. Feel free to use the first one without feeling guilty! The cache is a small container.
