Geocache Description:

Our first cache. Suitable for all ages but not accessible to people with disabilities primarily due to the terrain (uneven ground, grass). Enjoy the hunt!

This cache is kid oriented (at least with respect to the original contents). It is our first cache and we hope you enjoy searching for it. The cache is near the Grigsby house, a log house (circa 1867) which was moved from nearby Bethesda and restored by Lyon College. It was dedicated in 1983 and provides a museum and working laboratory for folklore and historic preservation classes. The house is a double-pen or dog-trot house, hence the name of the cache. Be sure to take a walk around campus. More information about Lyon can be found at www.lyon.edu.
