Deaths Corner used to be an infamous bend on the old Arthurs Pass road that used to zigzag across the shingle slide to the north of the site. Now it is a viewing platform overlooking the Otira viaduct that has replaced the zig zag.
The original micro cache has been replaced with a small sized cache, which has again been replaced, this time with a standard sized cache, in a slightly different location, due to cache Muggling.
There is a chance that the old cache S42 53.295 E 171.33.398 is still hidden amonst the rocks under the pilon.
If you find this old cache, it is yours, to place elsewhere as a new cache for people to find.
