The Old Attkison Place Traditional Cache

WebbyCat: I have found out there has been meth labs discovered on some of Troike farm lands. In the past few months, there has been a lot of problems with anhydrous ammonia being stolen from businesses and farms in this area, so who knows how many more meth labs there are. All the old buildings on my farmstead series are perfect places for geocaching, but unfortunately are also a perfect place for a meth lab setup by the area meth makers.
The property owners have said that the caches could still stay up, but I don't want to run the risk of cachers running into meth makers and getting harmed, or getting accosted and questioned by patroling law enforcement officials.

Geocache Description:

Located at the old Attkison place.

The locals still call this the old Attkison place even though the Attkisons have been long gone for decades.

Nobody even seems to remember anything about them except that they lived there for years and years. It's kind of sad to have lived on a place for so long that it's named after you, but nobody is left who remembers you.

There are numerous old foundations to show where the buildings were located, but most of the buildings are long gone. The garage is still standing, and the old henhouse is almost still standing. The house is gone but some of the foundation, chimeny, and front steps remain.

This property is now owned by Troike Farms, and Jerome Troike and sons have graciously given permission to place the cache.

Cache is in an ammo box and contains various items for trade.

The terrain is level with scant brush, but the grass might get tall in the summer. Round trip to the cache and back is about 1/10 of a mile. Watch out for old boards which might have nails in them. The driveway turnoff on the highway is 37 43.089 N and 095 01.375 W.
