A ski cache overlooking the top of Nordmarka
Unknown to many, the cache area sits on a little ridge that used to offer sweeping views over the northern part of Nordmarka. Visitors could see two of its tallest ridges and one of its prettiest lakes, and more often than not one could hear the wind sigh from the north. In winter, you get here easily on the stylish "Ølja Rundt" (Around Lake Ølja) ski trail. It's more complicated in summer.
Cache history: It used to be called "Bernhard #9: Watch the North Wind Rise", inspired by songs by Jefferson Airplane and Fra Lippo Lippi. The cache used to be a moose egg, secured with camo wire and carabiner. It was replaced by a modified PET tube in 2018.
The forest has taken this area back, and there is no longer a viewpoint here. In February 2019 I decided to rename the cache. Welcome to the "Lost View" cache and enjoy the photo of a view long gone.
