Should be an easy cache and dash. If you are lucky, you might have a nice view of the OSU crew team as they work out on the river down below. Many thanks to step2626 for completing the mission. [;)]
Do watch out for the brambles and you do not have to go down to the river. Poison oak is in the area but I do not think there is any to worry about as you go for this one. Respect the sign that says not to park on the highway shoulder – park off of it on the little bit of gravel there. Re-hide cache as you find it or better. Have fun and good luck.
Update 8/12/08 - So some of you newbees have been giving me heck about this one. If you follow your GPS you come to a place where a once small Douglas-Fir has grown up and you can not find the cache. If you get to the real cache location you will find your GPS says the cache is near-by but depending on your GPS it could be 20 feet to the north or 40 feet to the south. Use the hint and use your geosenses, it is not that difficult.
Update 7/13/14 - My how things have grown. Cache is still in its sweet location but the vegetation has grown up all around, including lots of poison oak and brambles. As you wonder around on the shoulder looking for a way in, look for an abandoned orange highway construction cone that seems to mark the direct way into the cache.
