Geocache Description:

A four part multi cache in the Stiles and Hart Conservation Area in Bridgewater

In order to find this one you will need to locate three bricks. Each one one has the coordinate to the next and the last one has the coordinates to the cache itself. The initial coordinates will get you to an ancient beech tree near the entrance to the conservation area.

The area was the former site of two brick manufacturing companies, the first Bridgewater Brick Company or BBC and the second Stile and Hart or S + H. The claybanks are a series of ponds which formed from pits where clay was dug for brick manufacture. The ponds are next to the Town River which heads further down to the Taunton River and passes the other Stiles and Hart site near the Bridgewater Correctional Facility on Titicut Road.

These four unassuming ponds over a hundred years yielded the clay that would become the hallowed halls of schools like Harvard, Brown, Yale and Tufts. It can also be found in historic locations like Fanueil Hall and Fenway Park as well as many other hotels, goverment buildings, museum, churches and countless businesses in the New England area.

The best access and parking is from Route 18 at Campus Plaza, from the plaza it is a short walk up the road over the Town River bridge to the entrance to the area. This is the closest access to the first brick and the best parking spot.

There are an unactivated set of BugTags for the FTF...
