The fish hatchery below Wolf Creek
Dam releases rainbow trout daily from their ponds down a small
creek and eventually into Cumberland River. Near to where this
cache has been placed is an area that you can fish for these
trout. All you need is a pole and a trout license. The limit
in this area is 5 trout a day and from the look of things it
is relatively easy to catch one of these trout.
There is a parking spot for wheel chair parking only right next
to the stream, if you do not have a handicap parking tag you will
need to park in the hatchery parking lot and walk down Catch A
Rainbow Road. While in the area you might want to visit the
hatchery as well. There you can feed the trout in their ponds with
the special food that you can purchase with pocket change.
The cache is not far from the stream and is an easy walk by rock
trail, the last 5 feet have a lot of briars to get through. Cache is a pre form.
This area is open from 7am to dusk.
