This cache has been archived.

Krypton: As there's been no cache to find for months, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Geocache Description:

Cars and tools, tools and cars. Pretty much describes our son Brandon. He also did a pretty good job of hiding this one! FTF gets choice with no trade needed. A well stocked ammo box done with our son Brandon (Kooter) in mind. Located at The Old Borges Ranch. A nice area but keep an eye out for poison oak. Shouldn't be a problem at the cache but it is nearby. Please replace ammo box so the handle on the end is facing out.

A Letterbox, in a plastic container, has been placed near the location of this cache. Please be respectful and return it to it’s proper location. If you haven’t found the metal cache container, keep searching!

The former ranch of early Walnut Creek pioneer Frank Borges is the home base for Walnut Creek's Shell Ridge Open Space activities. The ranch complex includes a blacksmith shop, numerous outbuildings, and farm equipment displays. It also features a barn and covered trellis available for group reservations. The Borges family home, built in 1901, houses historical displays of the early 1900’s. It is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

A special thanks to ‘Andy and Robin’ for creating ‘Kooter's Gearhead Garage’ in 2004. Due to their relocation in Tennessee, this cache has recently been adopted by ‘HanSohn’.
