Geocache Description:

Want to learn how to make those cache hunt preparations easier?

The event will be at Winton Woods (A Hamilton County Park) in the Winton Centre Auditorium. HCPD is giving us the use of the auditorium since we helped them with their project in February.

March 20, 2004 from 12:00 to 4:00

Come meet fellow cachers and learn something new about some part of Geocaching or related subject.

Tables will be set up with some fellow cachers sharing their expertise on the topic listed below.

Schedule:

12:00-4:00 Registration, networking, informal sessions, kids play area, travel bug entries, & FUN
12:30 POTLUCK LUNCH

Presentations:
  • 1:00 Letterboxing
  • 1:30 Use of Compass & Topographic maps
  • 2:00 Expert GPS (A program to export waypoints and input into maps)
  • 2:30 Paperless geocaching and PDA use
  • 3:00 Navigating Geocaching.com


Bring a hearty appetite and a dish to share for a Pot-luck lunch at 12:30.

Also, there will be a travelbug competition for any wishing to join in. You can find details here.


There are many caches within the park or nearby.
