From the north, take RI route 77 (Main Road) south through
Tiverton to Little Compton. Approximately 6.2 miles south of
Tiverton Four Corners (Gray's Ice Cream, The Provender) turn left
on Swamp Road. This is an easy turn to miss. The road is on the
left, but watch for the small sign on the right. Drive about a
quarter-mile on Swamp Rd, and watch for the entrance to Wilbour
Woods on the left. This is also easy to miss; watch for a wooden
sign hung between two trees. Follow the entrance road a short
distance to a tee. Turn left. This road is a one-way loop with
turn-outs to picnic areas. Find one of these areas and park. Then
continue walking in the same direction you were driving, and watch
your GPSr. The cache is a short distance off the road.
Please carefully replace the camouflage material to conceal the
Rubbermaid container.
When you are done, do yourself a favor and walk the rest of the
loop, which isn't long. It's a beautiful stroll through the woods
along a meandering trout stream.
