Geocache Description:

Located just off the beach on virginia's eastern shore.
this cache was started by volks-man and wife and dog.

local legend has it that this used to be a happening place. there was a pier extending some way out. the pier had food, games, and other entertainment. it's all gone now, except the water, a small beach, and a sort-of boat ramp. GUARD'S SHORE is now managed by the state and used as a daytime summer getaway for locals. the views are still spectacular and the wildlife is still present. please obey all rules that may be posted on the kiosk and leave the area as you found it. very easy terrain until last hundred feet! beware poison plants, insects, hunters, spies, and meteorites!

please rehide the cache so that it is INVISIBLE!!! spies are almost always present!
