You do not need skis to access the cache in the winter, but
there is plenty of opportunity to go skiing in this area, including
a flood lit trail, so do bring you skis if you want to practice
your cross country skiing. The kids will probably enjoy sledging on
the man-made Sukkertoppen, so bringing a sledge may be a good
idea.
The cache is dedicated to the Norwegian postage stamp no. 1531,
issued February 6th 2004, with the theme St.
Valentine’s day, hence the initial cache content of
hearts of many sizes and materials.
