The coordinates lead to the first of three historical monuments. The second two are but a moments stroll from the first. Gleaning specific numbers from the three monuments and plugging them into new coordinates will lead to a complicated-looking piece of war materiale. The cache original cache here was a micro, and a booger to find. The cache is now 'small,' but much easier to find. Feel free to check the hint.
This multi-cache is located in a small but well-situated park off the beaten path in Boonsboro, Maryland. The short stroll-about encompasses the founders, a time capsule, and artifacts of several American Wars. As with most of our historic caches, you will need to answer questions and sign the log in order to claim success.
The final coordinates are: N 39;30. B - E - D W 077; 39. A - D - C
The first monument contains two dates. The first date has two of the same digit. Plug them into ‘D’, and answer by e-mail the following: Who founded this town, and when?
Buried beneath the second monument lies a time capsule. Plug the second digit of day of the month (it appears thrice) into ‘B’, and the last digit in the year (also appears thrice) into ‘A’ and answer the following: The inscription on the second monument was penned by what early American writer?
The third monument supports a cannon, and was rededicated on July C, 19E2. Plug the digits, and your coordinates to the micro cache should be complete. But answer this before running off: Where was this cannon forged?(for it was forged in the very community that is home to the caching team of BJ&Snurt).
One final question. To veterans of what two wars is the cache site dedicated?
