This cache forms part of a series of caches placed with the aim of being a quick cache and dash from motorway junctions throughout the country. We would expect this detour from the motorway to take no more than 15-20 minutes.
Watchmoor Reserve is a small wildlife area situated close to the M3 (junction 4). On leaving the M3, head north on the A331, turn right at the first set of lights and head for the petrol station.
The area behind the petrol station was landscaped as part of the supermarket development and contains three ponds and a picnic site. Up until recently (Summer 2006), there were impressive sculptures of a blacksmith and a Trojan-like horse but local graffiti artists and arsenists have, sadly, ruined them.
This should be a straight forward cache with only a short level walk along gravel paths.
