Geocache Description:

A family-friendly, straightforward cache with wide trails, minor elevation changes and no bushwacking required.

UPDATE: 4/23/04

I moved the cache location a bit today since it was recently found by a muggle at the old location. The coordinates above are updated for this new location which is a little further in the brush than before to make it harder to see.

I also refilled the container with some quality swag, and switched the container to an ammo box. Please rehide this cache carefully and place the label side of the cache to the ground.

Total round trip distance is less than a mile using my suggested coordinates below.

Suggested Parking Coordinates: N 32 55.940, W 117 04.988
Suggested Trailhead Coordinates: N 32 56.044, W 117 05.035

Although these parking coordinates are not technically a driveway, "Drive on the Parkway, Park in the Parking Lot" didn't sound as nice. :-)

Some of the Scripps "old timers" might recognize this community service center building at the parking coordinates as the original sales information building for the Scripps Ranch Villages before its developments were built-out a few years back. Originally, this building was located where the Jack in the Box/Bank of America buildings are now, before being moved on a large flatbed truck to this location.

Are there shorter routes to this cache? Yep. However, these parking and trailhead coordinates guide you along an easy to follow, albeit a bit longer, path to this cache. You shouldn't have to cross any landscaping or cut through any brush if you follow them, or you can find/make your own trail. Either way, have fun!
