Geocache Description:

This cache is located on the grounds of the Chisholm Trail Museum.

Outlaws lived here. You will have to enter the grounds through the Chisholm Trail Museum. The curator of the museum knows about the cache and helped put it together. The cache itself is a wooden strong box. Original contents besides the log book and pens and pencils are a couple of fire starting kits, a couple of candles, a couple of the outlaws favorite cartridges in .45-70 (inert), a book on the Dalton brothers, and a Civil War belt buckle. Read the story of the Daltons in the cache. Let the curator know that you have found the cache and he will give you a souvenir brochure.
While you are there, visit this great little museum. The curator does a good job. He schedules lectures and early day craft classes, such as tating and flint knapping.
Museum open: Tuesday through Saturday 10:00 to 5:00. Note: there is a charge for visiting the museum but if you tell them you are only looking for geocache, they will let you in just for that purpose at no charge. But the museum is well worth the cost to visit if you have time. They constantly change exhibits so it pays to go back more than once.
