The purpose of this cache was designed for travelers through the area who may not have much time. It is right off a main highway. There is a good place to park, makes for a nice little rest stop and quick find. We placed this easy to find because it is our first and we want to watch it because we are hoping to catch out of town traffic and most of the cache in our area are more remote and there are not any quickies. Hope you enjoy. Update: We had to move to Texas and can't keep this up. I placed this with my kids, and I couldn't bear to take it down. If you're going to visit, can you try to keep this one alive with a little upkeep. Update: I am so thankful to the Geocache community for keeping this one alive. I placed it with my kids who are all grown up now and we live about 1000 miles away. It is a very nice reminder of the fun times we had Geocaching every time I get an e-mail. We are actually going out today (10/11/08), the first time as a family since we placed this one. Geocaching is a great family activity, thanks to ever started it! Update: 9/10/10 - Still enjoying this cache even though we are far away. My kids are all grown up now and hopefully they will enjoy Geocache with their kids someday. Thanks to everyone for keeping it alive. I enjoy getting the e-mails from time to time, this is an active find. MORE PICS PLEASE. Someone posted the cactus is gone, that thing was huge!!! Is it really gone? Update 12.9.14 I appreciate the Geocache world for keeping this up. We are still in Texas and my heart feels rejoice every time I see a new entry. My kids are all moved out and my son is deployed with the Marines, and we miss him very much. We all placed this together and it's become very special to our family. I want to go find it soon and see how the terrain has changed as it sounds like it has over the years. Again. Thank You so much. Update 5.19.16 - Still going, now we have a 1-year-old grandson who we get to Geocache with someday soon. Thanks to everyone for all the pictures and maintenance. I hope to be able to return here one day, even better, how great would it be to go with the whole family. I'm actually shocked they haven't built something here in all these years. Happy Caching Everyone!!! Update 2.8.22 - I am so happy this cache is still available, and I am even more thankful for the Geocache family in helping keep this cache alive through all these years.
