Hike up rolling hills to a scenic overlook at Laskey Mesa. About a 600' elevation gain from the trailhead at Las Virgenes. About 3-4 miles round trip.
Pack your day pack and head on up! Sparky the Toucan TB and Scorpio TB have invited you up to the Ranch for a bring-your-own picnic! Ahmanson has been open to the public for several months, and the Park Rangers are really getting into the swing of things with new kiosks and trail markers plus friendly and helpful hints for the hikers.
If you decide to take a TB home for aftenoon tea please leave one for company, we don't want anyone dining alone!
I've made it an easy find to give you plenty of time to nose around the Ranch. Plenty of interesting stuff in the immediate area but please abide by the trail and "do not enter" signs. I think some Rangers may live in one of the buildings.
