This Cache is small cammoed plastic jar. Log to sign, but bring your own pen to sign in, and room for very small trade items. It is possible to park within 20 feet of the Cache. Don’t count on the close parking. There could be a nice walk involved. Lots of muggle action so please be discreet and hide better than you found it. Thanks!!!

TWO YEARS BEFORE THE MAST This wonderful book traces the namesake of this harbor’s awe-inspiring oceanic route from Boston, around Cape Horn, to the California coast. Two Years Before the Mast is both a riveting story of adventure and the most eloquent, insightful account we have of life at sea in the early nineteenth century. Richard Henry Dana is only nineteen when he abandons the patrician world of Boston and Harvard for an arduous voyage among real sailors, amid genuine danger. Here is a personal narrative of the seaman's life in the age of sail. Dana was recovering from the measles when he decided it would be more interesting to do so at sea as a common sailor. In 1834 he joined a two-year voyage rounding Cape Horn to deliver cargo to California. If you read the book in school, read it again as an adult. If you never have read it, I envy you because you still have this great adventure ahead.
