Der Rudolphshagen gilt bei Wissenschaftlern als größtes Vorkommen der Roten Waldameise in Europa! Das Gebiet ist deshalb seit langem unter Naturschutz gestellt. Am Parkplatz gibt es eine Infotafel und die Möglichkeit für ein Picknick. Der Cache ist ein "Drive In", es lohnt sich aber durchaus einen kleinen Spaziergang auf der Suche nach den riesigen Ameisenhaufen (siehe Foto) zu unternehmen. Bleibt aber bitte auf den Wegen, einerseits weil es ein Naturschutzgebiet ist und andererseits sollen schon Menschen (bevorzugt Kinder) von den Ameisen verschleppt worden sein.
The Rudolphshagen applies with scientists as the largest occurrence of the red forest ant in Europe! The area is therefore for a long time posed under nature protection. At the parking lot there is an info board and the possibility for a picknick. The Cache is a "drive in", it is worthwhile oneself a small walk on the search for the enormous anthills (see photo) to however quite undertake. Remains however please on the ways, on the one hand because it is a protected area and on the other hand humans (prefers children) are to have been kidnapped by the ants.
