Please meet us at the posted coordinates at SPEEGLEVILLE III PARK at 11:00 am for a general "meet and greet" and planning session. At noon we will go over to the main area for lunch (Hot Dogs) provided by the "Keep Waco Beautiful" organization. After lunch we will convoy to Woodway Park for the actual clean up.
UPDATE: The homebase for the actual clean-up will be at the Main Pavillion at Woodway Park. This is the spot where we held the Waco Cache Bash last October. We should arrive there between 1:00-1:30 pm. The clean up area we've been assigned is nearby the pavillion.
Coordinates to Pavillion are: N 31 31.332/W 097 14.062
The food and clean up materials will be provided; but you might want to bring your own beverages and snacks. Also you might want to bring a pair of sturdy work gloves.
We have been in contact with and have been working with "Keep Waco Beautiful" and The Army Corps of Engineers and the City of Woodway. They are all very appreciative of our Geocaching community playing a role in this! So please mark your calenders now and plan on attending the "Don't Mess With Lake Waco Cito Event"!!!
EVERYONE is invited! All "out of towners" that can attend are very welcome to come and join us; we could really use the support! Plus, there will be ample opportunity both before and after the event for catching some Waco area caches!
There will also be prizes, t-shirts and hopefully a few "surprizes"! We will be posting more information to this cache page so please stayed tuned!
Please post a note to this page and let us know if you will be able to attend!
