This cache has been archived.

Rocky Balboa: This wasa nice spot for a cache and introduced visitors to the higest point in Herts. There have been other caches placed in the area recently and therefore the cache gives nothing new to visitors. Thanks to all who visited and loged!

Geocache Description:

Located on the outskirts of Hastoe near Tring on the Herts/Bucks border, rests Pavis Wood. This location marks the highest point in Hertfordshire.

Parking can be located at the bend in Gadmore lane, next to the entrance to the Wood. This Bend marks the highest point at 802ft. Unfortunalty, unlike the county peak in Bucks there is no marker for this achievement, perhaps someone generous could deposit a large stone there! From there follow the ridgeway path which will take you through the woods & across the county border into Buckinghamshire.

Once you have completed this cache make sure to bag 'Three counties Peak' and 'The Chiltern Summit' as this will mean you have climbed to the higest point of 3 counties. We hope you enjoy your search for Buckinghamshires 100th Hide, Dan & Pid.
