Geocache Description:

Take 285 North of Roswell to Verbena, the rest is up to you. This was originally going to be a two stage cache with the second part 'in the hole' (you'll understand) but I couldn't get down due to mud, so it will stand like this for a while. Please keep an eye on children and pets here. A vehicle with a little clearance will get you within a few feet of this cache. A passenger car can make it, but I don't recommend it. If in a car you can get to within about 200 yards easily, and then just a short walk. The cache is in a blue tupperware type container with a blue lid and contains a patch, a pig, a pic, a (nonfunctional) zippo type lighter, a Marlboro box from Germany (empty) and a whistle. Watch for snakes. This is a popular rapelling/caving destination.

Cave entry is prohibited except in coordination with the BLM, Roswell Field Office cave specialist. The BLM works hand-in-hand with the National Speleological Society (NSS) on management of this cave and other public lands caves on BLM-managed land.
