Aquest és el primer geocache del terme municipal de Navàs.
Aquest municipi de la comarca del Bages té una superfície de 81,79 km2. I s’estén des de la vall del riu Llobregat, per l’est, fins a la conca del Cardener a l’Oest. Limita per l’est amb Gaià, al Sud amb Balsareny, Castellnou de Bages, Súria i Sant Mateu de Bages; a l’oest amb aquest i Cardona; al Nord amb Viver i Serrateix i Puig-Reig. L’any 2003 tenia una població de 5.648 habitants. Més del 70% del territori està cobert de massa forestal, amb predomini del pi blanc, el roure i l’alzina.
Un dels monuments arquitectònics més importants és el de l’església romànica de Sant Cugat del Racó [N 41º53.867 E 001º 48.783], que es troba a 6 km del centre urbà, seguint una pista asfaltada que en direcció Oest, passant pel nucli del Mujal. L’actual església és del segle XI. La planta de creu grega –molt poc freqüent-, el cimbori circular –únic exemplar conservat- i la decoració llombarda estesa per tots els seus murs en fan un monument singular i únic a Catalunya. Està ben conservat i en culte. Des d’aquest punt i amb una curta passejada arribarem al nostre objectiu.

This the first geocache of Navàs township.
This township of Bages region has an area of 81,79 km2. Its extension starts on east from Llobregat river valley, to Carderer valley on west. Is limited on east by Gaià, on south by Balsareny, Castellnou of Bages, Súria and Sant Mateu of Bages; Is limited on west by Cardona; on North by Viver, Serrateix and Puig-reig. In 2003 it had a population of 5658 habitants. More than 70% of its territory is forest zone. It predominate the white pine-tree, the oak-tree, and the green-oak.
The most important architectonic monument is the Romanic church of Sant Cugat del Racó [N 41º53.867 E 001º 48.783] to 6 km of urban center for road direction West, to El Mujal. The actual church is dated of XI century. It shows a Greek plant which is very rare; the circular little square is unique exemplar in conservation. Its wonderful decoration of its rock walls make it a singular and unique monument in Catalonia. From here, with short walk arrive to our objectif.
