Geocache Description:

I was originally going to make this a night time cache, its now a 2 mile round trip hike, with some difficult climbing (for ND).

  • Follow fence line 100' to the West to find start of trail
  • The beginning of official trail is not marked, and is by far the most difficult part. The next 100 ' is overgrown with' waste high weeds, almost impassible. After the 3 initial climbs it gets easier.
  • Climb to the highest ridge, and follow it west tell you find offical trail markers.
  • Once you find official trail markers, I applied white reflective tape to them.
  • Eventually, you leave the official trail.
  • Once you find the last marker with tape on it, you will leave the marked trail, and follow a game trail.
  • Now you have reached the what can be the easiest part of the trail
  • Generally head south with a slight jog to the east, it will be worth your while to stay on the game trail. You should see a deer stand, and an artifical nest box/ thing.
  • Keep going south until you are directly east of N47 38.407 W101 17.736, where you will find an ammo can at the end of a ridge, laying on the ground out in the open. I don't think there is any chance that a muggle will find this one.
This is a truly amazing area to go for a hike.
Good luck finding your way out.
