accomack county is notoriusly flat, like most of the eastern shore of va. when i found this spot i was surprised to see a little variation in the terrain. located next to what years ago may have been the community college and is now the marine science consortium, wallops park is run by the parks and recreation dept. of accomack county. it is largely unknown even to area residents. this little park is one of only a few in the county. it boasts a soccer field, a baseball diamond, a play set for the kids and one neat nature trail. regardless of which way you go, clockwise or counter-clockwise, on the lettered trail..... keep going after you find the cache. this little piece of forest is one of our best kept secrets. no bush whacking is needed here, just follow the trail. the cache is easily located just off the trail. good luck!
