Geocache Description:

This national historic landmark is visited by many passing through Winslow each year. It is located between the famous Route 66 and the Santa Fe Railroad.

We always visit this interesting place when staying up in Rim country - great lunch, odd art work and thundering trains rolling past. This is the masterpiece of Mary Elizabeth Jane Colter, the greatest of Southwest architects. In its early years, many famous people stayed here including Howard Hughes, John Wayne, Bob Hope, Dorothy Lamour, Albert Einstein and Charles Lindbergh.

You must POST A PICTURE of yourself with GPS at the above coordinates onto this page as PROOF OF YOUR FIND/VISIT. This is a place many guests enjoyed relaxing and people watching. You can do this too. Plan to stay awhile.

Happy caching!
