Follow Newport's Ocean Drive to a point just east of Brenton Point State Park. Watch for a small hanging sign on the water side of the road marking King's Beach Fishing Area (not to be confused with King's Park on Newport harbor).
Follow the dirt access road a short distance to the parking area overlooking the ocean. Park here and start walking back the way you came. Watch your GPS; it will point to impenetrable bushes. Keep going and find a more convenient place to leave the road. Approach the cache from the north.
This spot is popular with fisherman and scuba divers, but you should be able to approach the cache unobserved. Before you leave, be sure to explore the ocean rocks and beach, and maybe try for a striper or bluefish. There is also a boatramp.
The cache owner has made several CITO visits to the cache. Please consider helping to clean up this scenic landscape by trashing out a small bag.
Accessibility in snow - May be difficult in deep snow.
