The most thrilling man hunt America has ever known began on The morning of June 9, 1902, and continued with unabated vigor until August 5th, 1902. Harry Tracy had escaped from the Oregon Pennitentiary. For nearly 2 months he was hunted. His fight for liberty was the most desperate, when cornered he fought like a tiger. He showed his teeth and bit so suddenely and so fearfully that brave men stood agast. He made it all the way to Seattle. He was surrounded by lawmen in a field. Rather than give up, he shot himself. Parking for this cache is at N47*07.426 W122*51.047. Follow the Overlook Trail, until you find the old railroad grade. Container is a telephone lineman's box. Info has been updated. Please Read all the cache logs! WD
