Geocache Description:

This will be the 1st Annual International Geo-Caching social. This event is being planned to alternate between Michigan and Canada during successive years.

Where: Goodells County Park, Goodells Michigan

When: May 22 2004 @ 12:30 pm

Who: All Cachers

What to bring.... Bring something to grill...(I'll have the grills all fired up and ready to go) your own drinks, and a dish to pass. If you'd care too, bring something for the prize table. You may also want to bring some bug spray, the flying vampires are thick where the game will be played. Also, those with folding type chairs should bring them.

Official "Start" time will be at 12:30 pm. A special event caching-game will commence promply at 1 and last untill 2:30. Afterwards, there will be prizes awarded, and you can BBQ and eat till you burst. This will be a "Pot-Luck" type dinner. I will have a igloo type container with Lemonaid, and I'll have a cooler with some bags of ice available. If you don't want that, bring your own drinks and whatever you want to grill (BBQ grills in place, plus I'll have a portable one as well, chips, a dessert, etc). There are some caches in the area, but more comming. Geo-kids will have fun with the parks equipment and the room to run and make as much noise as they want. If you'd like to come a day early or stay a day late and do some "International" caching, I'll post the phone numbers of a local KOA campground and the Ruby Campground in the Hints section along with the number of a local grocery store in case you've forgotten anything or want to pick up something. We will have a tip jar to help defray the cost of renting the pavillion, and if you'd care to bring a gift for the prize table, that would be nice. Come meet cachers from Michigan and Canada, and who know's what other places will be represented!!

Patches have arrived and look great. Phone numbers for campgrounds and the local grocery store are posted in the hints section. Looking forward to seeing you there.

For those with FRS radios......Channel 2 will be used for this event. Bring yours to chat and cache!!!
