This park was built around a reservoir on top of a hill. No, it's NOT Fort Canning...This is an infrequently visited park, probably because most people are too lazy to climb to the top of it. If you do climb it, though, you will see a "Landmark" towering very, very close by.
We didn't know what to call this cache, so we named it after the flashy running shoes Cherry-chan had bought earlier on the day we placed it. The name won't help find the cache though- sorry.
Get to the vicinity of Outram MRT station and start searching for the hill- it shouldn't be hard- especially if you have a map. Climb it and get to the co-ordinates which should place you at the top of a flight of stairs, facing west with a view of the Health building on your left side. Because of the tree cover, you will have to be very near the cache to get a reading. The photos should help you. The co-ordinates should place you pretty much beside the lightpost. The other photo was taken from the cache site itself. When standing quite close to the cache, that is the view you should have.
We were feeling particularly generous when we placed this cache, so it is FULL of stuff:
- 1,000 Cambodian Riel in crisp, new notes
- 40 Thai Baht in similarly crisp, new notes
- 1 deck of playing cards
- 1 pack of Monkey Wipes (we'll leave that to you to figure out)
- 1 pack of Banyan Tree Bangkok Post-its
- 3 lovely bookmarks from Yokohama, Japan
- 2 tea candles for a peaceful aromatherapy session (if that's your kind of thing)
- 1 cellphone strap from Fukuoka, Japan
