Geocache Description:

This is a replacement cache. The original ammo box was taken and we have replaced it with a two stage multi. There is a micro at the above coordinates that will give you the coordinates for the new cache, which is a small fuse can.
09/12/11 The cache has moved slightly. Adjust the North coordinates given on the micro by subtracting 3 seconds and the West by subtracting 7 seconds (The last 3 digits)

This Wedgwood monument in Staffordshire was erected in 1850 to commemorate a local colliery owner John Wedgwood (1760-1839) rather than the better-known pottery family. Sadly the monument is only a quarter of it’s original height having been damaged in a gale on 2nd Jan 1976.

Although the monument is in a rather poor state, it’s position on Bignall Hill provides great views of the surrounding Cheshire and Staffordshire countryside.

There is no longer a camera in the cache, however pictures from the first camera can be found here

Please do not post any pictures of the micro or the cache.
