Short, relatively easy walk from the parking area.
This replaces the "Parting Ways" cache which "disappeared.
Parting Ways has very recently been placed on the National Register of Historic Places - a beginning of long overdue recognition to Cato Howe and his three fellow veterans, Quamany, Prince and Plato.
The site is a 94-acre plot deeded to them, four negro slaves who fought valiantly in he Revolutionary War. At the close of the war they were granted their freedom and were deeded the plot of land by the Government.
Pay your respects to them at this very tiny cemetary before you proceed to the treasure.
The cache is a round white plastic container with bright orange screw-cap. Please cover it well.
