A short walk of less than .1 mile, with Davidson River running parallel.
The parking coordinates are N35 16.347 W082 42.355 just off of US 64 in Pisgah Forest. Park near the gate and follow your GPS. Probably not a good idea to block the gate!
This cache is located within the boundaries of Pisgah National Forest but outside the forest entrance.
The cache is well hidden in a natural hidey hole. The location can be seen by anyone on the trail but most people would not expect to find a treasure hidden within. The cache is only a few feet off the right side of the trail if you are coming from the parking area. The cache is in a brown quart size container with a blue lid and is filled with small exchangeable items.
The location of the cache was left just as we found it with only a cache hidden within. The cache is well hidden at ground level and will have to be placed far enough back in its hiding spot so that others will not accidentally find it.
