This multi cache will take you on a visit to the hamlet of Penn Street, Close to Holmer Green and not far from Amersham. This place is home to the Beautiful Holy Trinity Church with its massive spire, which commands the views for miles around aswell as many interesting houses and a war memorial. The entire settlement follows a winding road and backs onto a large area of ancient woodland recently saved from development, named ‘Penn Wood’ which is home to a monument, or is it?. Whilst here it is your job to collect answers to a set of questions which will help you complete a final set of cords taking you to the cache location. Please remember that answers from all 3 locations will be needed, so doing them in the suggested order is the shortest & best route.

 Begin your travels by parking up at the coords provided. These will take you to the Holy Trinity church car park with ample spaces for 10+ cars. The entrance can be found on the right not long after passing ‘Flint cottage’ on the church side of the road. Now enter the church yard where you are in search of three resting places.

First find the monument of Countess Georgina, topped by a blue cross. She was born in 1860 and died in 1AB6

Secondly open the Randall family book. Williams wife Kate was born on the CDth January 1889

Finaly unravel the scroll containing details of Annie Hearne’s life. She died June 5th 1924 aged E8 years.

Leave the church using the same way you entered into the car park and head for the war memorial at:- N51°39.288 W000°40.015.

Lots of names of people who faught for the country can be found here. The first person mentioned has a last name that is also an animal. The amount of letters in this last name equals F.
Now head for:-

At this location you will find a bench in memory of Jonathan Goodman, a fenced tree which was given by Prince Charles and the remains of what was once a large monument. Ordanance Survey has it roughly marked at 25,000 scale but that is the only reference to it anywhere as far as I can tell. One can only imagine what it looked like in the past but nowadays it is a lonely depression in the earth which I assume was the pool of a fountain. It looks as if the main part, possibly a grand figure from which water ran, was either removed or stolen, you will all have your own ideas I’m sure.

Whilst here take a closer look at the plaque by the tree. It was given by Prince Charles and Planted on the GHth March 200I.
