This cache is in the northern section of Tecolote canyon. Please read trade guidline below. Cache is a folgers coffee can wrapped in duct tape. Consider parking on Chateau at: N32 49.732 W 117 11.568
Occassionaly you might find a tire swing or hammock nearby, but if in use, you might have to wait to access the cache. If on a hot day be sure to bring water. From Chateau the walk is .6 miles. There may be closer parking spots but walking from the suggested parking area will take you through some really lush areas that might be suitable for a picnic. You will also cross the stream 3 times. The terrain will also be more level. If comming from the North Clairemont Rec. Center the terrain is steep and slippery. All walking will be on major trail and is kid friendly.
This cache has only one guideline and that is in trading items. I thought it would be fun way for people to trade refrigerator magnets and the like. Please do not bring commercial/advertising magnets. If you don’t have a magnet to exchange, then you can always sign the log. Geocoins and signature items and $$$ are always welcome.
