This is an easy to get to cache. You can park in the area immediately off Hwy. 80. Getting to the cache is an easy walk of about 110 yards.
Original contents: Pair of dice, Spongebob party favor, Mini 1st aid kit, Disney stickers, Nail file, Pocket fan and a toy truck. There is also a log book with pencils and sharpener. The nearby town of Oreana began mining in 1865. At it's peak the town reached about 300 pop. and was the largest producer in the state with about $45,000 a month. 1870 began a decline but there's still a small population there along with the old mine, smelter and slag piles. The mill is fenced off (for good reason)please obey the signs and the fence! Have fun!
