Cache Companions: It appears as though the large storm systems over the last month have swept our cache away :-( Still a great place to visit, though, when you have the time!!

What do these pictures have to do with San Ramon? They are actually located IN San Ramon, at our newest cache. This cache is a camo'd, small and round tupperware container. It is well hidden. The toughest part about the cache is the coordinates. The heavy tree cover does not permit accurate coords. The coordinates provided will take you to the entrance of the gardens and to the trailhead of the South side of the park. You will come to five park benches and an option to either walk down the slope to your left or use the stairs to your right. They both lead you to the same clearing. Continue down via the steps or the slope and continue along the trail. You will soon see an environment that looks like the one shown in our pictures. We have gotten you as close to the trailhead as the tree-cover would permit. The rest will likely be a free-for-all. Due to that, we have included two pictures that are both within the vicinity of the cache. The picture with the creek is to get you in the right area. Both of the pictures actually have the cache within them. ***Please replace cache exactly and carefully, as you found it.*** This small cache has a log, a Travel Bug, a lavendar beaded sache and a handmade bud vase for trade. THERE IS NO WRITING UTENSIL TO SIGN THE LOG SO PLEASE BRING YOUR OWN. The park is open until 10PM, though we do not suggest you come after dark. It's very dark and without exact coordinates and no reference points, it could be near impossible. Pets are welcome. Come during the day with a bagged lunch- you will find a lovely area to have a picnic and even a campfire area to sit on a log. **NOTE: You DO NOT HAVE TO get wet to locate the cache- so don't even bother stressing about it :) ** Now a little about the location: Crow Canyon Institute is a non-profit educational resource organization which seeks to increase public awareness of environmental concerns through education, operations and maintenance of the Crow Canyon Gardens, and by providing charitable services and programs to the local community. Established in 1979, Crow Canyon Gardens is a public park owned by the city of San Ramon, located in California USA and managed by Crow Canyon Institute. Crow Canyon Institute embodies the vision of Virginia Mudd, who created Crow Canyon Gardens to demonstrate the connection between organic food and a healthy community. Through the demonstration kitchen garden, group tour program, classes and community gardens, Crow Canyon Institute reaches out to promote ideals of land stewardship, ecological responsibility and small-scale biological agriculture. Community Gardens: There are currently 53 active community garden plots offered to both residents and non-residents of San Ramon. This program is managed by the City of San Ramon.
