Geocache Description:

A little used park with a Chisholm Trail Marker.

When I was a kid, I was fascinated with the signs along the roads commemorating trails, whether it was the Santa Fe or the Chisholm Trail. In south Central Kansas, there are several roadside markers describing the history of the Chisholm Trail. My little brother (Phoenix-Cacher) told me about this park, we drove there on an outing, and set up this cache. Read the sign while you are in the area for a bit of history of the Old West.
The container is a quart sized plastic cyllender, perhaps three inches in diameter and eight inches long. It will hold a few small or medium sized objects but nothing real big. Original contents are Log Book, two pens (one of them stolen), two halves, an Elvis Presley cassette tape, a Renaissance Faire button, a Geocaching Kansas button, a hand cuff key, and a small container of yellow play dough.
Feel free to trade small items. (Typical of my caches, the container is never as big when you get there as it seems when you are at home planning it)
Phoenix-Cacher thinks the cache is well hidden. Let's keep it that way.
