Placed in the beautiful Keown Falls park in Johns Mountain.
After going to see the falls, the area just screamed cache. Or maybe it was just those pesky squirrels running around inside my head.
Oh well, the park has lots of picknic tables and grills for afternoon lunches and a great scenic trail to the cache. Park at N34 36.811 W85 05.296. Then it is only about .59 to the observation deck. The cache is near by. Make sure to walk only about .14 up the trail to N34 36.693 W85 05.770 to see the other fantastic waterfall. Mother nature puts on a show nobody can match!
This cache is a theme cache. If you take a confederate item, please leave one. Believe it or not, these items are getting harder to find. If you don't have one, sign the log for a smiley.
As of January 1st 2009, all of my caches will be exempt from logging for challenges, games, series or other bookmarked nonsense dragging down the sport. I will delete any finds associated with this.
