All of us have people around us who inspire us, motivate us, and help us to grow as individuals. This cache series is dedicated to the family and friends, the loved ones in our lives. In each case, I will encourage you to include in your logs information about your family and friends and what makes them special to you.
My first dedication is the easiest and most obvious one. 20 years ago, I met a woman who was able to look past all my obvious flaws and short comings and love me for who I am. Not a small feat to be sure. She has stuck with me in good times and bad. As I walk through this life, it is a great comfort to have her beside me.
In your log, leave a short note about the family member(s) in your life and what they mean to you. It doesn't have to be husband or wife, it can be children as well.
Although this is not a "Theme" cache, any moose related items will be gratefully accepted. Travel bugs and TNLN's are always welcome as well.
The cache can be found on the Turkey Creek Trail in Emma Long park. The parking and trailhead can be found at N30 20.011 W97 50.406, and there is no fee to use this trail. This is a beautiful trail, particularly so when there is water in the creek. For the most part, the terrain is fairly flat with several creek crossings using large cement disks or large stones. The last 125 feet or so is up a relatively steep hill, but if you look around in the area, you will find a switchback that makes it slightly easier. When you are logging your find, enjoy the view of the creek below. If the water is running, you can close your eyes and relax to the sound of the rippling stream.
