Small Package Cache
This cache is hidden in a
wooded area next to the USGS headquarters in Reston. It's pretty
easy terrain but I'd be careful after a rain, it gets pretty muddy
in there. I was getting around 20 foot accuracy on my GPS12.
Waypoint was averaged.
The cache is a Yellow
rectangular Rubbermaid container. I covered the container with
green duct tape to try to blend it into the greenery. Please let me
know if this cache needs maintenance. I'll fix it within a day or
two.
It's a sad state of
affairs... babawooziedah just mailed me and told me that the USGS
folks have gotten spooked as well. They're asking for visiters to
stop by their front lobby before visiting the cache. The cache is
in the woods near their building and with all the BS going on in
this world, I can understand. But it's a pretty sad note
anyhow...
You can park in the USGS
parking lot (provided they allow it) or across the street in one of
the lots off of Edmund Halley Drive.
PLEASE CITO! This might
make the USGS folks a little more eager to allow us in
there!
