So an old rhyme would have you believe. Certainly when Deddington was a market place before the railway stopped at Banbury and turned that village into the sprawling mass of a town it is now, this small north Oxfordshire village was the centre of the universe around these parts. It supported up to eighteen drinking places, of which only 4 survive today, and it is from these four you need to garner the necessary clues to find the cache’s resting place.
Park up in Horsefair (51 58.873 001 19.293) and start at the Unicorn Hotel, my personal favourite and scene of my stag night eons ago. Walk around the village to the other three pubs and off you will then go to pastures new.
