Easy basically level "walk".
Regular ammo can type cache. I hope you will decide to explore much more. Even if you follow the 2 track road there are wonders to see and check out.
From I 25 take HWY 550 in Bernallio toward Cuba. Just past mile marker 21, South of San Ysidro hook a left on Cabazon Road (signed). Stay left as the road to the right has high truck traffic from a gypsum mining operation and goes to the Mars Express, which should be visited anyhow.
Stick with the main road until you reach GAS CO road heading off to your right. In a short distance you will see a two track road going right, just before a wash crossing. It can be negotiated by 2wd if dry with a little caution though the walk isn't far from the turnoff.
You will come to a ranch gate. I HIGHLY recommend you park there so you can enjoy the scenery better. This is all public lands however. Your on your own now dude and dudettes!

As always, watch out for the buzz tail worms and other stinging biting and otherwise inhospitable critters and thingies. Take a lunch, plenty of water and just have fun.
