Geocache Description:

This is the first of three Peak to Peak caches that was placed to entice more visitors to this really great area with cool rock formations and excellent views. I gave this one an extra half star for terrain because the trail is very narrow at the cache location and you may have to squeeze through manzanita. Please wear appropriate clothing and bring plenty of water.

There are many trails in this area, but until Rocket Man and Corysmom placed their caches, it was untapped territory. I am offering a prize for the first Geocacher to find all three. I "borrowed" Rocket Man's description on how to get to the trail, so make sure you visit 360 Degree View and Alien Landing Strip while you're here.To get to the cache, get off on Camino Mayor from Twin Oaks Valley Rd. The turnoff is at N33 12.940 W117 10.301. The dirt road starts at N33 12.976 W117 10.242, shortly after you turn. Park here if you plan on hiking. Continue approximately .4 miles up the dirt road until you get to N33 13.159 W117 09.961 where you will take a left turn.You can see the other peaks from the Landing Strip -- one looks like a porcupine -- so you can pick your own trails from there.
