Geocache Description:

Each container used in this series contains a standard Geocaching stash note with various instructions or clues on the reverse. Be sure to check this at each point. The caches do not have to be found in order but the order of the clues is important when applying them to the final IQ Test. You’ll be given further instructions regarding this when the final cache is placed.

The first player to solve the final test will be awarded the IQ First Solver Prize which will be posted to the lucky cacher after confirmation of his or her success.

Ammo boxes and PVC pipes were the original containers used throughout. IQ1 cache is now a PVC pipe. Nothing is buried, except perhaps under leaf litter or other loose material. The stashes themselves won’t be too hard to locate – finding the general location within which to search is the tricky bit.

You’ll need paper and a pen, as you may have to make notes at the site. Some food, water and a hat would be handy; you could be ‘in the field’ for some time and it may take multiple visits to some sites to complete the assigned task. This is not a race-in, race-out cache set – it is aptly named “IQ” as that’s exactly what you’ll be relying on to solve it.

Note:Players may request hints from the cache owner via the GC website email. Such hints, if given, are done so on the proviso that the owner reserves the right to post notes on the cache page advising that a hint has been given to a player. The request of assistance or hints will be taken as acceptance of this proviso. In addition, the receipt of such a hint, whether ultimately acted upon or not, will render a player ineligible for the IQ First Solver Prize. Bonus, unconditional hints may be posted on description pages at a later stage as and when the cache owner considers them appropriate.
